Biology[]
There are two species of Watermelon Cat, the Felis Lanatus and the Citrullus Catus (Lanatus and Citrullus are parts of the Latin word for watermelon). The different species differ in appearance with the Felis Lanatus it has a more brownish coat meanwhile, Citrullus Catus has a more gray coat. The Citrillus Catus also differs from the Felis Lanatus in that it has a large IQ, this was discovered when it tried stealing a vile of water from a biologists back pocket. The Watermelon Cat consists of two major organs the bulb which contains the fruity insides and the feline which absorbs water and sunlight much like a leaf would. These sections grow together as a Watermelon Cat grows. It will grow and size and ripeness the older it gets. The harvesting season happens every 6-8 months. In fact, the Watermelon Cat industry is bustling and is worth quite a large sum of money. They are also very easy to farm as well which is why they are so common. Watermelon Cats can be found in almost every grocery store. Thankfully, they cannot feel pain, and they are perfectly fine with being consumed. Through evolution, they didn't need any nerve cells, so they never grew any. To this day, Watermelon Cats are still farmed and sold everywhere, and they still grow in the Amazon Rainforest. Although they face endangerment from Strawberry Cats. Strawberry Cats are haters of Melon Cats and have been seen eating and stealing water from Watermelon Cats.
